Forever Grooves are a crew of music lovers that break the mould of the conventional wedding DJ. We're originally from the South Coast of New South Wales, but are eagerly awaiting our move to Melbourne in October this year! We’ve always enjoyed interstate gig though, so you can still expect to see us playing in NSW! We pride ourselves on delivering a perfect balance of tasteful and eclectic selections, while retaining a healthy amount of pop sensibility that is crucial in keeping a diverse audience happy and eager to dance.
From canapés and cocktails, dinner and dance, we weave seamlessly through decades and genres of music, curating tailor made experiences with thoughtful selections and a keen eye (and ear) for detail. It’s an all too familiar picture… The wedding DJ, playing stale, tacky top 40 music from their laptop. Playing music that doesn’t fit the vibe, continually falling back onto rinsed wedding cliches and paying no attention to what the crowd wants. We’ve seen this scenario play out too many times and set out to do something about it. Coming from a background as underground disco and house DJ’s, we bring a non-commercial flavour and aesthetic that tips the concept of the generic wedding DJ on its head.
From countless hours behind the turntables, we’ve learnt the subtle art of playing music for the appropriate time and space, being adaptive to a wide range of audiences and most importantly, knowing when to play the right track at the right time. Our tact and intuition behind the decks allows us deliver calculated and purposeful selections, creating unforgettable dance floor moments.

Forever Grooves really do love vinyl records and we have an extensive collection to prove it. Although for some, the format which music is played on isn’t a concern as long as the music itself is great, many still love the vinyl format (we certainly do). DJ’ing with turntables and records can provide both the DJ and audience with a truly unique experience. Why is this?
The sound of vinyl can bring a warmth and texture to a song that transcends digital music. And visually, seeing a DJ spinning records is something people can really connect with. It’s tangible, you can see the artwork on the cover and you can watch the DJ really get to work (trust us, DJ’ing with vinyl isn’t exactly easy!).
